GETTING
TO GOA FROM BRITAIN AND IRELAND
Chartered
flights to Goa from Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham is operational
from mid October to April end every year which is the cheapest way
to get to Goa. Chartered tourist are allowed to stay only for a
short duration. CAA regulations prohibit flight only tickets from
outside India to Goa. Indian passport holders are not allowed to
fly in the Charted flights. Scheduled flights via Mumbai are available
with British Airways, Air India, Singapore Airlines, KLM, Gulf and
Emirates. Flying time from London is around 11 hours with a brief
stop over. From Mumbai there are daily flights to Goa. From Ireland
there are no direct flights to Goa or Mumbai. British airways fly
from Dublin to Mumbai via London and Swissair to Mumbai via Zurich.
Aeroflot fly daily from Shannon to Delhi with a night or multi-day
stopovers in Moscow.
